Poultry Slaughtering Processing Line

Dutch Poultry Tech’s killing line forms a reliable foundation for any poultry processing operation and can be expanded into a complete processing solution from live bird arrival through to chilling. Designed for ease of use, the line is based on proven technology and a modular, prefabricated layout that allows fast installation and perfect performance.

The process starts with arrival and live bird handling, followed by stunning and killing. Birds then bleeds out over the bleeding trough, and moves through scalding and plucking, ensuring feather removal and consistent carcass quality. After plucking, birds are rehung for further processing, with an optional hock cutter available at this stage to suit specific product requirements.

Evisceration can be carried out using manual workstations and evisceration tools (which we also provide), offering a flexible and cost-effective solution for processors starting with semi-automatic operations. As production grows, the line can easily be completed with Dutch Poultry Tech’s automatic evisceration line, enabling a smooth transition to full automation.

At the end of the process, birds can be directed to air chilling or water chilling, depending on capacity, product specifications, and market demands.

This modular approach makes the killing line a scalable and future-proof solution, allowing processors to start and grow step by step with their operation.

Automatic Killing line

Arrival

Arrival station where the birds are manually hung on the line.

Stunning and killing

The birds are stunned and killed afterwards. The blood will fall in a trough before moving forward. This time is 90 sec to 3.5 minutes.

Scalding

Afterwards the birds to into a warm water bath, where the feathers will be loosened from the skin. The water temperature is can be set between 50°C and 60°C. The birds go through a maximum of 3.5 min, depending on the speed setting.

Plucking

Finally, the birds enter the plucker, where rubber fingers rotate over the skin to remove feathers without damaging the carcass.

Simple, like buying a cabinet.

Many poultry equipment suppliers focus on selling machines, but often overlook what matters most: the people who use them. At Dutch Poultry Tech, we redesigned the entire process with simplicity, efficiency, and practicality in mind.

Our prefabricated, modular, floor-mounted, self-standing plug-and-play solution eliminates unnecessary complexity and speeds up installation and start-up.

What does this mean for you?

  • No complex plant layouts or calculations for floors, roofs, or building modifications

  • No expensive consultants or engineering teams needed for line design or installation

  • No production downtime caused by lengthy installation processes

  • Easy self-installation and operation

The result is a smart processing line that works straight out of the box; simple, practical, and reliable, just like building a cabinet!
