The Vent Cutter from Dutch Poultry Tech is the first machine in the automatic evisceration line, designed to start the process with a clean and precise vent removal. Using a rotating cylindrical knife, it cuts a circular opening around the vent and removes it along with the Bursa of Fabricius, all while keeping the intestines intact to prevent contamination.

Built to meet the demands of modern poultry processing, the Vent Cutter operates without vacuum assistance and uses multiple cutting units for increased capacity. It can be configured with interchangeable knife sizes, so it adapts to different bird sizes and processing requirements. The Vent Cutter from Dutch Poultry Tech is the first key machine in the automatic evisceration line, responsible for removing the vent and Bursa of Fabricius without damaging internal organs, thus setting up a clean and controlled evisceration process. Placed at the beginning of the evisceration stage, it ensures birds are prepared correctly for subsequent steps.

The machine operates with a cylindrical rotating knife that makes a precise circular cut around the vent. As the knife retracts, it removes the vent along with the Bursa of Fabricius, while keeping the intestines intact — a critical factor in reducing contamination risk and maintaining hygiene.
